To install software for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 through Active Directory Desktop Advantage (ADDA):

If you already have a gmail.com Google account and want to have the calendar associated with that account included in your GoogleApps@UIC calendar, log in to your other Google account and  "share" your other Google calendar with your GoogleApps@UIC calendar.

ANSYS must ALWAYS be run using torque. You can run ANSYS in an interactive mode via a GUI that is called the launcher, or in a non-interactive (batch) mode. In both cases you start ANSYS using the qsub command.

Running ANSYS interactively (using the launcher)

You desktop PC will act as the X-server for the ANSYS launcher. Exceed is the ACCC-supported X-server package. However, you are not required to use Exceed; there are other Window-based X-server packages that will work just as nicely.

The ACCC runs an LDAP server that you can use to look up the names and email addresses of people using NetID@uic.edu email addresses. This page explains how to use this LDAP server with Mozilla Thunderbird and with Eudora OSE, which is based on Thunderbird.

If you already have a MySQL database, use the MySQL database and user management web application to:

• add MySQL database users
• remove MySQL database users
• change access level (read-only or read-write)
• change MySQL user passwords

Please note that MySQL usernames must correspond to existing UIC NetIDs. By default, each MySQL database also comes with two accounts:

To request a new MySQL database email accounts@uic.edu indicating what kind of usage you intend and what disk space requirements you foresee needing. We can normally accommodate small to medium-sized databases without any problems, but we may need to account for larger databases with special hardware or setup scenarios.

1. Click File and choose Print (or use the shortcut Ctrl + P or Command + P). By default your document will be printed double-sided (if it is longer than one page). 
2. Verify the printer you have selected matches the lab you are in (unless you intend to have your job printed to a different lab).
3. Click Print.
4. Access the nearest U-Print Station and log in using your UIC NetID  and password.
5. Once logged in, you must select the document that you want to print, and simply click Print once more. 

GaussView is a graphical user interface (GUI) that helps you prepare input for submission to Gaussian and permits you to graphically examine the output. GaussView allows you to rapidly sketch in large molecules and then rotate, translate, and zoom in on the molecules using mouse operations. It makes it easy to set up many types of Gaussian calculations, and lets you examine the results of Gaussian calculations.
