How do I add or change an item from the UIC Events Calendar?

Add an Event

There is a link in the blue menu in the left of the Events Calendar web page to the web tools used to add Events or Classified Ads, and to Modify existing Events/Ads.You must login with your UIC NetID and Common password to add or modify Events or Ads. You can return to the UIC Events Calendar at any time to modify or delete your event. Each form has help which explains what the fields defining the Event/Ad mean.

The University reserves the right to edit or remove any postings.

Important note: Adding an event does not automatically schedule space or services. 

Modify or Delete an Event

Only the person who added an entry can modify or delete it. Click on the Modify or Delete Items link in the blue menu to the left of the Events Calendar web page. This will allow you to login with your UIC NetID and Common password. After you login, you will do the following:

  1. Return to the Events Calendar page.
  2. Search for the event using the Search by month or day, Search by date range or keyword, or Search by event type functions.
  3. Click on the event to see the detailed view.
  4. Click on either the Delete this event or Modify this event link.

Classified ads

To aid in finding entries in the Calendar, Events and Classified Ads are labeled with Categories. When you add an entry, you may select as many categories as apply to it. Note, however, that an entry that does not conform to the intended use of the category(s) that it is posted under will result in a warning or suspension of the poster's posting privileges.
