How do I obtain building access to 24-hour labs?

The ACCC has 24-hour labs located in Science and Engineering Labs East on the east campus, in Benjamin Goldberg Research Center on the west campus, and in all of the residence halls. While the residence halls are open at all hours to residents, SELE and BGRC are only open during regular business hours. After 5pm, building access with a UIC i-card is required to enter the buildings.

Visit the Client Services Office (east campus) or Network Operations Center (west campus) to request building access.

The Building Access system is managed by the UIC Police. Access can take anywhere from 3 to 10 days to process after card completion.  Note: you will not receive any notification when you are given access; periodically try to swipe your i-card to get into the building to see if your access has been processed. Access is granted for one year and must be renewed annually.
