How do I print documents at an ACCC computer lab with U-Print?

  1. Click File and choose Print (or use the shortcut Ctrl + P or Command + P). By default your document will be printed double-sided (if it is longer than one page).
  2. Verify the printer you have selected matches the lab you are in (unless you intend to have your job printed to a different lab).
  3. Click Print.
  4. Access the nearest U-Print Station and log in using your UIC NetID  and password.
  5. Once logged in, you must select the document that you want to print, and simply click Print once more.

If you are using funds from your i-card, you must first insert your i-card into the card reader which is located next to the U-Print Station. The screen will display how much money is currently on your account.

When printing PDF files from Blackboard directly, sometimes large document takes a couple minutes to process into the system therefore you should print in sets of 10 pages.

If the document doesn't show up in the U-Print system, you must first save that file onto the desktop. In order to do so, you must click the disk icon, or choose File, Save As. Once you download/saved the pdf onto the desktop, you must then open it and print it from there.

In order to change your layout from double side to single sided (or vice-versa):

  • Click Properties.
  • Click the Layout Tab.
  • Locate Print on Both Sides.
  • Choose None.
  • This tab may also be used to change the page setup to vertical or horizontal.
