How to obtain a Res-Net Guest Account

Res-Net is available to guests of Campus Housing, provided that (1) you are not a registered UIC student, faculty, or staff member and (2) you plan to stay in the residence halls for one week or longer. The cost of Res-Net access is determined by Campus Housing and the payment will be collected by Campus Housing. Please contact Campus Housing directly by phone at 312-355-6300 or email housing@uic.edu. You may also contact your local Housing office.

NOTE: If you are located in TBH or MRH, go to the MRH Housing office.

Regardless of which side of campus you are on, to request Guest Res-Net, please visit the main Housing office in SRH. You will need to complete a request form. Please indicate if your hosting department will be paying for your connection. Campus Housing will then request a UIC NetID and common password to be assigned for you. This may take as few as 2 days and as many as 10 days depending on how much information you can give on the request form. A confirmation email from ACCC will be sent to you (if you provide an e-mail address) and to Campus Housing.

Additional Information: The ACCC provides service calls if you need assistance with your connection, however, if the problem is not related to our network connection there may be a $35.00/hour service call fee applied.
