The University of Illinois has renewed our Adobe Creative Cloud Agreement. Announcements concerning this will begin to go out this afternoon to departments involved in the contract renewal. General campus announcements will begin circulating in a few days.
Changes in the contract include access to additional apps and features available through Creative Cloud. In addition to having access to well-known applications like InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, eligible faculty and staff will also have access to newer apps like Portfolio, Behance, and Lightroom Mobile, plus 20GB of Cloud storage. More information about the apps and services included in the contract can be found on WebStore's News Page.
Other notable changes include:
Single sign-on utilizing your NetID and Password. For detailed instructions on how to obtain access, you can refer to the video at webstore.illinois.edu/AdobeUIC. You will also find a link to a written tutorial.
UIC employees will no longer need to purchase a home-use license. They are able to use the software at home on their personal computers, utilizing the single sign-on option. For any employee not eligible for the Enterprise license, departments may install Adobe Creative Cloud on a University machine and allow employees to use it for University work. In order to be included, you must be a University Employee designated as Staff or Faculty. Unfortunately, retirees and student employees are not included. You can check your status under My Profile in your WebStore account.
For labs and managed machines, IT Pros should continue using serialized versions of software available through WebStore.
Questions regarding the new contract or access to Adobe Creative Cloud should be sent to webstore@illinois.edu.
