Exchange Online email delays (2 updates) [resolved]

The queue of delayed messages has been delivered and message transport services are now functioning normally.

The majority of the messages that were delayed while the issue was occurring have been delivered, and Microsoft is continuing to monitor as the last remaining queued messages are processed. All delayed messages are expected to be processed within the next two hours (by 5:00pm, CST).

Some Exchange Online users may be experiencing delays of over an hour when sending and receiving email messages. Microsoft has identified a networking issue causing mail delays for a subset of mailbox database systems. They've redirected traffic to alternate network infrastructure, and the backlog of queued messages is now processing. For questions, please contact consult@uic.edu or 312-413-8080, option 2.
