ACCC provides Exchange email as a premium email and calendaring service available to faculty and staff. This premium service ensures a flawless integration with Outlook enhancing your management of calendar, email, contact, task, and note integration. Exchange has superior speed with large mailboxes, and much more up-to-date and functional web interface. Mobile computing is made easy with native support for Windows Mobile smart phones. Mobile devices are supported by using Exchange Active Sync, available on all major mobile manufacturers (Apple, Android, Windows, BlackBerry).
We are working to provide the cloud based version of Exchange, called Exchange Online, later this fall to all faculty and staff. Below is a chart comparing the local version of Exchange (the current service offering) with Exchange Online (coming this fall). Stay tuned for more information on the Exchange Online project.

REACH contacts can submit a request to create an Exchange account online (authentication required).
To access your Exchange mail from off-campus using Outlook, you can choose to use the service with or without UIC VPN. If you choose to use Exchange without UIC VPN, please follow the "How do I set up Microsoft Outlook to connect to Exchange?" documentation for the Outlook Anywhere feature.
ACCC only provides support regarding the provision of an account, any problem aside from that (i.e. how to setup, migrate email, etc.) should be directed to your departmental IT staff. If you do not have a departmental IT staff, we can offer assistance by setting up a service call. Service call are $175/hour with a minimum of a 1 hour charge.

Important notes: By default, all resource calendars, shared calendars, shared mailboxes, and distribution lists only work within the ACCC Exchange environment. If you need it to be accessible outside of the ACCC Exchange environment, please include it in the request.
All mail sent from within the Exchange environment will be delivered to your Exchange mailbox. If you need to forward mail to an address outside of Exchange, please include it in your request.
