UIC netID is an identifier used to access many university services. Identity and Access Management includes authentication, provisioning of services and consultation for obtaining UIC netIDs, establishing non-personal email addresses for University business, netID changes, and troubleshooting related to university identities.
The UIC network ID (netID) is a public identifier used by students, faculty and staff to access University of Illinois services, including UIC Human Resources and my.UIC portal. It is also used to establish the Enterprise ID used for accessing UI Enterprise Applications. The netID is also part of a personal UIC email address (netID@uic.edu) of every student, faculty and staff member.
The netID is not a password. To authenticate and use the services and accounts associated with your UIC netID, you will also need the common password.
Faculty, staff and students at UIC are listed in the Phonebook, an online directory that also includes department listings. Student information in the Phonebook is managed by the Office of Academic & Enrollment Services. Faculty and staff information is managed by the department Phonebook contact person(s).
