  1. Go to the Course Management panel and select Grade Center -> Full Grade Center

  2. In the tab select Create Calculated Column -> Weighted Column

You can enter grades in the Grade Center in the following ways:

  1. Go to the Course Management panel and select Grade center

  2. Select Manage -> Column Organization

  3. Select the columns to be displayed in graded center

Use the following steps to create a customized grading schema in your course:

Grading Periods classify grade columns by due date.

You can create a Grading Period by following the steps given below :

  1. In Grade Center, click Manage to access the drop-down menu.

  2. Select Grading Periods.

  3. Click Create Grading Period.

  1. At the top right of the page will be a Work Offline button

  2. Select the option upload or download depending on the requirement

BbL offers an Assignment tool that presents students with instructions and attached materials required for completing an assignment.  Students can submit typed or pasted comments and attach materials in response to the assignment.

Students can view their course grades using the Global Navigation Menu in the top right corner of the page. By clicking on the icon marked below -

Grade Center allows you to record data, calculate grades, and monitor student progress. You can generate reports to communicate information to parents, administrators, and other stakeholders.

The total column is a type of calculated column that generates a grade based on the cumulative points earned, related to the points allowed. You can select which columns, grading periods, and categories are used in the calculation for a total column.

When using Blackboard Grade Center on a Mac, you may notice that the horizontal scroll bars have disappeared, preventing you from viewing the rest of your grade columns. This issue tends to only exist on versions of Mac OSX 10.7 and above. To fix this follow these steps:

Instructors have the ability to download Grade Center data as a delimited file that can be used in other applications such as Spreadsheet programs or statistical analysis programs. Instructors can select specific data to download, or download the complete Grade Center data set.

The Grade Center in Blackboard Learn is more than just a way to record students' grades. It is a dynamic and interactive tool, allowing you to record data, calculate grades, and monitor student progress.
