Yes.  The easiest way to add a narrated presentation to Blackboard is by using Echo 360 Lecture Capture. Echo 360 is available for free to UIC employees; it is easy to use and provides simple narration and editing capabilities.

By default, Outlook 2011 will hide the "Folders on My Computer."  This article will guide you through re-enabling these folders so that you can store emails locally on your hard drive. This can be useful if you are approaching your size limit on the Exchange server and need to free up some space without deleting any emails.

After you create the scheduler, you should check to make sure it will automatically start when you reboot your computer. Because the scheduler runs as a service, you have to start the Services Administrative Tool to do this.

If there is an existing RT instance in use by your department or campus unit, contact your unit's REACH member about creating a queue for your needs. However, if you need a new instance, send a request to systems@uic.edu with the following: 

A UIC network ID, or NetID, is a public identifier used for authentication to many services provided by the ACCC as well as many University of Illinois computing and networking services.  The NetID is not a password and it is not an account itself but it is required in order to access ACCC and University services.

Please note, Box has discontinued support for Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) & 10 (IE10), including any version of compatibility mode that represents IE9 or IE10, in alignment with Microsoft's support cycle for these products. This means that use of these browsers poses a security risk since these browsers will no longer receive security updates from Microsoft.

Students registered for classes at UIC are automatically enrolled into your site based upon the call numbers you specify in your site request. The batch enrollment process is run from two weeks before the semester begins until the Add/Drop deadline. The batch enrollment will add students into your course site, but you will have to un-enroll any students that drop themselves.

To manually enroll the students, follow the steps given below:

  1. Login to OWA (office.uic.edu)
  2. Click on the Gear Icon

         

      3.  Click Mail under Your App Settings

         

      4.  Click Genral to expand the General options and select (left-click) Mobile Devices

According to OBFS Guidelines for P-card use

Any Content Item, including Course Links, External Links, Folders, Learning Units, Off line Content and Tools can be copied from one folder or Course to another folder or Course. Copying content does not delete the content from the original location unless Delete Item After Copy is selected. Content that is deleted after a copy is moved to the new location and does not exist in the original location any longer.

NOTE: Folders may not be copied from other parts of a Course into a Learning Module.

Files and software stored on the computers installed in the common use classrooms are not backed up.  This means that if there is a hardware or software failure on a classroom computer, files will not be recoverable.  For this reason, faculty are encouraged to utilize the Box.com service to store their files and be able to easily access them anywhere.  Alternatively, at least one USB port is provided for each classroom computer, to enable use of USB flash drives for portable file storage.  Please also note that after the end of a semester, all files and software a
