How to manage Exchange distribution group?

If you are connecting from off-campus, you must also be connected using UIC VPN. VPN installation instructions are available for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.

In order to manage the Exchange distribution group, you will need to first verify that you are assigned as the manager of the list. You will also have to have internet access to manage the list.

Follow the steps below to access the setting menu

  1. Log into OWA with your credential
  2. Click Options on the top right corner, and then select "See All Options...."
  3. Select Groups on the left side
  4. Under the "Public Groups I Own" section, double click on the list you wish to manage and a separate window will pop up.
  5. Inside the setting page, you can make change to the following settings.
    • Ownership - Manager of the group
    • Membership - People in the group
    • Membership Approval - Group joining approval permission (this only affects Exchange user)
    • Message Approval - Message approval permission
