Plug and Play

Plug and Play classrooms are so called because they are intended to provide a simple setup with a digital projector, a simple control panel, and a connection for a laptop or a DVD/VHS player.  An instructor can, for the most part, walk into the room, plug in their laptop (Plug), turn on the projector (Play), and get on with instructing their class.
