Softphone (Cisco IP Communicator) allows you to answer and receive calls to your VoIP phone on your Windows-based system. With a compatible Windows-based system, microphone, and headphones/speakers, this feature is easy to use. You will first need to submit some information to us so that we can activate your softphone account. Please remember to include the MAC addresses of your wired LAN connection and wireless LAN connection (if applicable).
- Windows Users: Click on Start | Run. Type “cmd” into the field (minus the quotes). This will bring up your windows command prompt. In the command prompt, type “ipconfig /all” (again minus the quotes). The MAC Address is the 12-character “Physical Address” in XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX form.
After we reply to your request notifying you that your softphone account has been created, please proceed by downloading the Softphone client.
