We are writing to inform you that a new ACCC service is now available. Secure Computing Environment (SCE) allows researchers to store and analyze sensitive and high-risk datasets such as ePHI (electronic Protected Health Information) in a secure fashion.
The SCE makes it easier for researchers to implement necessary safeguards for research data that is subject to regulatory or compliance requirements, including but not limited to: HIPAA, Personal Information Protection Act of Illinois, and other grant-specific regulations.
While the SCE is protected by numerous physical, technical and administrative safeguards to protect the data in the environment, researchers are also required to take appropriate precautions (as outlined in the SCE Acceptable Use Agreement) when using the environment to ensure data integrity.
