Blackboard Updates 2018

Blackboard Update Winter 2018

Blackboard Inline Grading improvement available after the update on January 6th, 2018

Blackboard will be unavailable during the ACCC maintenance window on January 6, 2018, from 2:30 am to 2:30 pm CT. The main improvement visible to faculty and students is in the inline grading tool.

Inline grading within Blackboard was previously powered by Crocodoc, a third party tool. Box acquired Crocodoc and replaced Crocodoc with the New Box View. You can find detailed information on how to use the New Box View in the Blackboard Learn Assignment Inline Grading page.

Here are some highlights of the New Box View:

  • Document viewer allows for display of images and video within files.
  • Online marking interface from Box.com allows the editing of files directly in the browser.
  • Over 100 file types and fonts supported.
  • Grade display allowing up to 5 decimals for score and percentage display types.
