Audience: Faculty, Staff, Students


Massmail is a type of bulk email message sent to current UIC students, faculty or staff who are subscribed to Massmail.  Content of the messages is restricted to events on campus or events sponsored by campus units. 


  • The Massmail system is not designed to send out items immediately. Messages are distributed to subscribers late at night or early morning.
  • This Monday-Friday late-night/early morning delivery schedule prevents Massmail distribution on Monday morning. 
  • Massmail messages can be sent as plain text only or as HTML plus plain text


Contents of massmail messages are subject to approval by the UIC News Bureau. Massmails requests are handled by the UIC Office of Public Affairs; instructions on how to submit Massmail requests and the current Massmail fee structure are at UIC Campus Announcements via Email


Cost varies by message format and audience. The fee table is managed by the UIC Office of Public Affairs.
