Data Jacks

A data jack is a wall-mounted or desk-mounted connector that is used for connecting phone cables and ethernet cables. Only UIC’s authorized business managers are able to request the installation of a data jack.

Cost

Time and Material Charges reflected on billing statements apply to all voice and data wiring installations or changes.

For new jack installations, costs can vary from $250.00 to $800.00 per jack depending upon the location and complexity of the facility. These charges apply in addition to the appropriate service activation or station rearrangement charges listed in the Voice Services section under Rates and Stipulations.
