ACCC provides multimedia production services for faculty to create multimedia materials for use in their courses, as well as multimedia assistance to students working on academic projects. Multimedia projects include digitizing and conversion, creation and conversion of video, and the creation of fully interactive multimedia objects.
The Academic Multimedia Lab offers the following services:
Faculty can request closed caption services for courses that are being converted to blended or online formats. Intro videos of 3-5 minutes are closed captioned at no cost to the faculty unit; longer videos require requestor’s departmental approval and payment.
Faculty can request the creation of graphical elements to be used in their courses. Simple graphics are created at no cost to the faculty unit; more complex animations require requestor’s departmental approval and payment.
Both faculty and students can check out multimedia equipment for a short period of time; equipment includes laptops, camcorders, audio recorders, and more. The equipment is available at the Academic Multimedia Lab in the Daley Library IDEA Commons. ACCC technology consultants can show you how to use the equipment.
Multimedia Software Access
LTS technology consultants will show you how to use the equipment and software installed in the lab computers. The following software is available:
- PC – Adobe Suite Creative Cloud (Full), Camtasia 9, Gimp2, VLC, Audacity, Handbrake, ImgBurn 18.104.22.168, Snagit
- Mac – Adobe Suite Creative Cloud(Full), Camtasia 3, VLC, Handbrake, Snagit, Skitch

As part of the video production service, ACCC technology consultants can meet with you to develop a storyboard for your videos.
ACCC technology consultants will help you with your audio, video, and eLearning Authoring software questions.
Multimedia consultations and technical assistance for your media projects are provided without a previous appointment and open to any student, faculty, and staff.
